Forest Hill, Texas
City Council Member Cameron Wafer
Cameron Wafer was re-elected to Place 1 in May, 2016. He is currently serving his third term as a City Council member.
A resident since 2004, Council member Wafer has served the City of Forest Hill as a member of the Community Development Corporation and formerly as a member of the Parks and Clean City Committee. “As a volunteer, I want to make the city better, bring in quality economic development…improvements to our parks. It’s a great city to live in and I know we have a bright future.”
Mr. Wafer is currently employed with John Peter Smith Hospital as a Material Handler. He is a graduate of W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas. He believes that his work and life experience has prepared him for his role as City Council member. “This is an awesome opportunity to better serve the community in which my family lives.” He attends Mt. Zion Church in Forest Hill, and being a part of that church family helped in making the move to Forest Hill eight years ago. Mr. Wafer and his wife Christy, who is an on-air personality with radio station KGGR hosting the weekly “Afternoon Praise Drive,” have been married more than ten years. They have two children, a boy and a girl.
“Forest Hill is a peaceful city where people respect each other” says Council member Wafer. “I want to work with the mayor and our other council members to help the city grow and take it where it needs go.”
