City Council Member Cameron Wafer
Cameron Wafer was appointed to Place 3 in June, 2019. He previously served three terms on the City Council from 2012 to 2018. His other volunteer roles with the city included serving as a member of the Community Development Corporation and Parks, Recreation and Clean City Committee.
“Forest Hill has grown so much in the last decade and my hope is that we continue on that path of success for the city,” says Council member Wafer. “Working with the Mayor and Council members, I will strive to help further develop our city and make it an even better place for us to live.”
Mr. Wafer is employed with John Peter Smith Hospital. He is a graduate of W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas. He believes that his work and life experiences have prepared him for his volunteer roles for the city, especially as a City Council member. “This is an awesome opportunity to better serve the community in which my family lives.”
Council Member Wafer is married to Christy, who is an on-air radio personality at KGGR. They have two children, a boy and a girl. Their family attends Mt. Zion Church in Forest Hill, where Mr. Wafer is an Elder.
