Mayor Pro Tem Beckie Duncan Hayes
Beckie Duncan Hayes was elected to City Council Place 4 in May, 2017. She was appointed as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem in June, 2017 and served in that position for one year. In June, 2018 she was appointed Mayor Pro Tem. She became a Certified Municipal Official in December, 2017.
Ms. Hayes graduated from Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth. She attended Texas Woman’s University in Denton, UT Arlington and American Intercontinental University where she received her MBA. She attended Bob Nichol’s School of Ministry where she received her Certification in Ministry.
Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Hayes retired from the United States Postal Service in 1993. She opened Manna Sno-Kones where she and her family served the community for 12 years. As an entrepreneur, Ms. Hayes is a member of the Forest Hill Area Chamber of Commerce. She also is an Educator with the Fort Worth ISD.
Ms. Hayes is a member of Destiny Pointe Christian Center for the last 29 years where Dr. Renee Hornbuckle pastors. Ms. Hayes is a certified, licensed, and ordained Minister/Elder at Destiny Pointe Covenant Connections Ministerial Fellowship. She is a member of the Outreach Networking Ministry of Visionaries.
Ms. Hayes is a widow, mother of three, and loving grandmother of seven.
There are many things important to Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Hayes but one which is significant is to see the continued growth of her dynamic and great City Forest Hill Texas. She states “I am about the business of the City of Forest Hill, Texas.”
