City Council Member Ozell Birks
Council Member Ozell Birks was elected to the Forest Hill City Council Place 4 in May, 2019. He will be serving a three year term.
A dedicated public servant, Mr. Birks has volunteered for the City many years, not only as a City Council member, but also in the capacities of Community Development Corporation Board member, Civil Service Commissioner, and as a member of both the Charter Review Board and Audit Committee.
Council Member Birks is a small business owner, operating B & S Appliances in Forest Hill for more than 25 years. He serves as Board Member of the South Tarrant Chamber of Commerce, of which the City of Forest Hill is a part. His roles as both business owner and Chamber member provide him a deep understanding and appreciation of just how important ongoing economic development is to the success of our City.
Mr. Birks is committed to listening to his constituents and resolving their issues. Together with my fellow Council Members, and with help from God, our City will continue to flourish both for our citizens and business owners.”
Council Member Birks has lived in Forest Hill since 1974. He and his wife, Corliss, have been married for 35 years. They have three sons and a daughter.
